Lobster Club Sandwiches
English documentary adaptation of Filippini No3183; historical source and modern storage decisions recorded separately. Source : Alexander Filippini, The International Cook Book (1906), filippini-1906-3183. Adaptation documentaire ; illustration synthétique. Recette non cuisinée ni mesurée par cette campagne. Adaptations : Lobster substitution for chicken is interpretive; use identified cooked lobster and pasteurized/otherwise safe mayonnaise, maintain safe temperature. Recipe-specific control: Lobster edible mass and cold versus warm entry state must be recorded before covering six toasts. Limites : Documentary adaptation with a synthetic illustration; not cooked, measured or tasted. Meat recovered from one cooked lobster may not cover all six sandwiches. Butter and mayonnaise quantities are unprinted. Commercial pasteurized mayonnaise and already-cooked lobster are selected; the brief oven step warms the assembled sandwiches.
Method
Steps
Step 1
Use ONE already safely cooked whole lobster, kept cold. Keep refrigerated at4C or colder until assembly; remove and thinly slice its edible meat, record actual yield and turn it with the ONE teaspoon lobster salt and TWO saltspoons lobster pepper. This is not raw or live lobster and the source prints no edible mass. It replaces the chicken positions of No3177; add no chicken or parent chicken seasoning.
Step 2
Prepare the No3177 framework ONCE: cut TWELVE sandwich-loaf slices ONE INCH thick before toasting, toast golden and spread each LIGHTLY with the unquantified butter. Divide the seasoned thin lobster slices among SIX lower toasts without inventing a meat-to-toast ratio or scaling the lobster.
Step 3
Broil SIX VERY THIN slices of the selected identified ready-to-cook cured lean bacon, using ONE minute EACH side only as the historical guide and continuing according to its product guidance until fully cooked. Cut EACH slice in TWO and place its TWO halves over the lobster on ONE lower toast. These are six whole bacon slices total, not two full slices for each sandwich or triangle.
Step 4
Wash and thoroughly drain SIX WHITE lettuce leaves. Spread VERY LITTLE selected ordinary commercial plain mayonnaise made with pasteurized egg on EACH, amounts unprinted, and place over the bacon. Close with the remaining SIX buttered toasts. Gently flatten and trim the crusts ALL AROUND, then cut EACH of the SIX closed sandwiches into TWO triangular halves. Add no third bread deck, chicken, ham substitute, egg, cheese or tomato.
Step 5
Arrange on the source hot dish and place in the oven for its TWO-minute warming guide, then remove and serve immediately with safe product handling. The warming is not a raw-lobster cooking step or a guaranteed safe reheat endpoint. Source batch is TWELVE triangular halves; actual filling coverage, oven capacity and diner portions remain unmeasured.
