Apricots with Curaçao
Drained canned apricots coated with an orange-rind and curaçao reduction of their own syrup.

Steps
Step 1
Drain ONE PINT canned apricots, keeping fruit on compote dish and all actual retained liquor in saucepan; measure each output separately.
Step 2
Add ONE OUNCE sugar and rind of ONE orange to liquor, boil printed TEN MINUTES; remove rind. Add TWO TBSP curaçao off strong heat and mix.
Step 3
Pour ACTUAL syrup over apricots and serve. Do not claim alcohol has cooked away.
