Broiled Oysters on Toasts

Thirty-six fresh oysters broiled in oil and arranged over six fresh toasts. Source : Alexander Filippini, The International Cook Book (1906), filippini-1906-1413. Adaptation documentaire ; illustration synthétique. Recette non cuisinée ni mesurée par cette campagne. Adaptations : Select inspected oysters, safe shucking, oil product and pan/broiler; cook shellfish to 74°C rather than treating four minutes each side as guarantee. Toast six suitable bread pieces freshly and keep separate from raw oyster surfaces. Limites : Oyster edible mass, bread dimensions, lemon-section size, oil/butter uptake and serving allocation are unmeasured. Source does not require six oysters per toast.
