Compote of Pears with Maraschino
Pears in reduced vanilla-maraschino syrup.

Step 1
Open the can of pears. Drain all its syrup into a saucepan and arrange the pears in a serving dish.
Step 2
Add the sugar, maraschino liqueur and vanilla bean to the recovered syrup. Reduce the liquid by half, then remove the vanilla bean and strain the syrup over the pears.
